Dan and Lisa became tenants of The Farmers Arms on 27th October 2014.

We have both lived and worked in the area for many years and have always been looking for the opportunity to take on a business in and around St Merryn. Having both worked predominantly in hospitality, taking on the rather large village pub seemed like a challenge that we could not resist. We aim to provide the levels of service, quality of food and warmth of welcome that we would like to receive ourselves. We want you to feel welcome, regardless of if we see you everyday, or once a year. The Farmers Arms is here for everyone.

Here at the Farmers you can enjoy all times of the year. If you want to sit by the open fire and chuck a few logs on in the middle of Winter, or soak up some rays on our decking in the middle of summer, the choice is yours. Have a quiet pint, enjoy a meal with family and friends,  dance the night away to one of our live music events, put on a big function or stay in our B & B, you can do it all.

If you like the outdoors, the St Merryn area is a fantastic location to enjoy many pursuits. Surfing some of Cornwall’s best waves at Constantine and Booby’s Bay, Rock Pooling at Treyarnon, Swimming at Harlyn Bay, Coarse Fishing at the Alps Fishery, Sea Angling, Golf at Trevose on the Championship course, Bike riding along the Camel Trail, Walking the Cornish Coastal path, there are endless options.

Padstow and st Merryn is continuing to grow as far as quality of food is concerned too. You can enjoy Michelin star cuisine one day, and high quality pub grub the next. The Pasty’s are not too bad either!!
